About Mark Thomas Law

Mark Thomas is passionate about making sure people don’t get taken advantage of. When clients come into his office after having their lives derailed by injuries, he likes that he can use his knowledge and experience to ease their fears, eliminate uncertainty, and create a plan to help them get better and get their lives back on track.

Mark began his professional practice in personal injury on the other side of the table, serving as a defense attorney for insurance companies. That experience gives him a unique “behind-the-scenes” perspective on how insurers think and act, which provides a significant advantage in defending his injured clients. In 1998, he entered private practice focused on representing injured victims and has never looked back.

Mark earned his Juris Doctorate from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law. He holds a B.B.A. in Marketing from East Tennessee State University.

Mark is a member of the State Bar of Georgia; the Atlanta Bar Association, where he sits on the board of the Solo/Small Firm Section; and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. He has been admitted to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Away from the office, Mark loves to travel, play golf, attend concerts, and savor a good cigar. He serves with Citizen’s on Patrol of Sandy Springs and has spoken at a variety of community events such as the Sandy Springs Police Department Teen/Parent Driving Course and Grody to the Max: Legislative and Case Law Update. He also regularly participates in the JDRF of Georgia Candy Run 5K in McDonough, GA.
